Ian Matthews Project Director at Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher had the pleasure of being on the judging panel of the Gordon Russell Prize 2016 sponsored by Hands.

Hands set a brief to the twelve final year students at Rycotewood College, Oxford to design a piece that would promote collaboration between two executives.

The resulting pieces ranged from the standing height tripod table to a wall hung interactive artwork. After twelve stimulating presentations the judging panel deliberated long and hard before presenting the first prize to Sam Bolt.

“The quality of design and the attention to detail shown by the students was incredible, it was a humbling experience to be involved with design on this conceptual level, and be able to walk away at the end of the day feeling truly inspired”
