Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher recently hosted a lively discussion between leaders from the Yorkshire commercial property industry in association with Insider Magazine. The group included Martin Farrington, Director of City Development at Leeds City Council alongside key investors and developers active in the region. Central to the debate was the need to create a ‘sense of place’ both within individual developments and the wider region, with attractive public spaces, a carefully considered mix of uses and a proactive approach to Yorkshire’s rich and distinctive heritage. The team discussed CJCT’s upcoming development of the Monk Bridge site in Leeds, which will include the restoration of a Victorian railway viaduct into a public park.
