Sky Gardens Nine Elms (Vauxhall, London) is a statement of contemporary urban living, designed by Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher. The scheme comprises of 4,722sqm of high quality Grade A office space class (B1), commercial A1, A2, A3 and D3 units and 239 luxury residential apartments, with enclosed communal sky gardens high above the city.

The massing is split into two distinctive blocks, a 36 storey tower at the northern end of the site and an 8 storey block facing Wyvil Road to the south, connected by a podium deck at first floor which provides external communal amenity and children’s play areas. The tower itself is divided in to horizontal segments by use, each separated from the other with enclosed double height, full floor ‘sky gardens’ with trees, planting and terrace space. These take advantage of the views across the stunning London skyline and add a green space to the restricted footprint of the site, while maximising developable area.

Mace (management contractors) have recently completed the superstructure, topping out the tower, and are progressing with the cladding which is up to level 27, simultaneously following on with the internal fit-out now underway from levels 9 to 19.

The first floor of completed private apartments will be ready for Fraser’s approval at the end of June.

Further updates to come as construction progresses.
