Wellington Place creates an exemplary sustainable, vibrant and distinctive new Urban quarter for Leeds. The Outline Masterplan for the 14 acre site establishes 2.5 million sqft of mixed use development.
Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher attained reserved matters approval for No 3 Wellington Place in 2010 provides c. 110,000 sqft of office and retail space arranged over 6 floors. The strong form is enhanced through the use of a simple palette of materials, masonry and glazing.
The BREEAM Excellent building is situated at the convergence of the existing Business District City, including the edge of Leeds City Centre Conservation Area, and the emerging Commercial quarter. The building and new public realm integrates into Wellington Street whilst establishing the future re-development of the surrounding area and defines an engaging pedestrian route into the heart of Wellington Place.
