Project Description
Central Square was the first refurbished office development in the North East of England to achieve a BREEAM 'Excellent' rating, in 1998.
Phase I of the development was created from the refurbishment of the former Royal Mail Sorting Office.
Central Square South (Phase II), Phase I’s sister building, provides 90,000sqft of new high quality flexible office accommodation over seven floors; which again wrap around a spectacular central atrium with cafe bar, landscaped seating areas and a water feature by the artist William Pye. Excellent working conditions are created in both buildings by the use of displacement ventilation, which creates excellent standards of both comfort and sustainability.
