Project Description

The overall site was masterplanned in 2001 by CJCT, with the first phase buildings 1 and 2 completed in 2008. The original scheme conceived that the form of the buildings and landscaping on the site should respond and inform the location of the site at the foot of the River Sheaf Valley.

Building 3 also known as ‘Acero’ the Spanish word for steel is a highly connected workplace project, located in an important brownfield site, bordering a key arterial route within Sheffield city centre; Sheaf Street. This prime development offered the potential to create landmark buildings that informs the urban environment and defines not only the future phases of the Digital Campus but further developments within the area.

The design of the public realm and position of the entrance ensures that the approach to the building is highly visible from all major pedestrian routes, whilst entrance lobby and atrium provides a fully glazed façade overlooking the landscaped setting and provides views for all users of the building.

Building 4 completes the Digital Campus masterplan which was entirely designed and delivered by CJCT for the Scarborough Group. The latest building completed in 2023 provides 82,000 sqft of speculative office accommodation over eight floors.
