This redevelopment of an existing gasholder site is currently being designed by careyjones chapmantolcher to provide a residential-led mixed use scheme comprising of 315 apartments in buildings ranging from 5 to 11 stories.
This new residential quarter will kick start regeneration of this North Kingston industrial site and will deliver almost 50% of Kingston’s annual target of new housing (643 units per year). The ground floor frontages will also provide commercial, educational and community facilities.
The scheme seeks to create an attractive, liveable place with a clear identity and proposes an inward facing perimeter block with a garden square in the centre of the site. The designs also provide the opportunity to create a new linear park the local area, creating significant green space for all to enjoy.
