The contemporary refurbishment of the Grade II Listed 91-93 Low Petergate in the heart of historic York provides three floors of luxury retail space.
The scheme required extensive consultation with heritage bodies and substantial investigations into the historic structure, which dates back to the 14th century. The design exposes the original elements of the structure, including beams and brickwork and re-opens original access points between the two buildings. A modern fusion of glass, stainless steel, smooth limestone, timber and white plaster are used to compliment the historic features of the buildings.
The multi-award winning scheme has been recognised by York City Council as one of the very best examples of the integration of modern design into the historic fabric of the city.
