A residential campus providing flexible accommodation for over six hundred students together with state of the art social and welfare hubs. Accommodation is designed in a range of room sizes with large, shared dining / living / kitchen areas. The central hub provides social space for staff and students alike with a series of ‘sub-spaces’ within the College to encourage multiple uses.
The scheme creates an open and inviting environment which establishes a strong College identity and sense of community which encourages diversity, equal opportunities and fosters interaction and sociability. The Masterplan design also connects the campus to the wider University both visually and physically.
As with its neighbour, College 9, this BREEAM Very Good College has been designed to create a sustainable, collegiate environment with unique character and sense of place.
