Project Description
CJCT undertook architectural studies for the conversion of the Grade II listed Thistle Hotel, Lancaster Gate, London to form part of the new landmark development ‘The Lancasters’.
Closely consulting with the city of Westminster Planning Department and English Heritage, the scheme completely restores and retains the 90ft high French Renaissance Terrace façade to form the longest contiguous terrace overlooking Hyde Park. Internally, 192,000 sqft of residential accommodation comprising 81 private residential units and 11 affordable residential units is provided together with underground parking, fitness facilities and swimming pool set within Cote d’Azure style gardens.
