CJCT acted as design team leader in the co-ordination and preparation of designs and drawings for the masterplanning of the Clarence Dock Development which comprises of 12 new buildings delivering approximately 1.2 million sqft with 1,100 one and two bed apartments, a 1,650 space multi storey car park and 370,000 sqft of quality retail and leisure destinations.
Subsequently the practice delivered detailed designs and drawings for the construction of 10 buildings in the context of separate Design and Build Contracts. A great deal of attention was given to the nature and scale of the development around the Listed Docks with the balance of the developable site being on the adjacent Royal Armouries car park.
Crosby Lend Lease has shared CJCT’s vision throughout and has now provided Leeds with a delightful and fully accessible waterside environment where the people of the City can work, live, rest and play around the two acre historic dock basin.
