Construction work is progressing well on site at the Snow Hill Wharf development in Birmingham. CJCT are delivering the flagship residential scheme for our client St Joseph, which when complete will offer 420 new homes in the City’s historic Gun Quarter.
The scheme comprises of five new residential buildings ranging between 3 – 21 storeys with a mix of dwelling types and sizes ranging from 1 bed studio apartments to 3 bed duplexes and penthouse suites.
With the RC frame now complete on 4 of the 5 building blocks, works have reached level 19 of the 21 Storey tower which is due to top out in the coming months. The use of pre-fabricated SFS panels has helped accelerate the construction of the external envelope in parallel with the RC frame works, reducing the build programme and achieving weather-tightness more efficiently.
The completion of the buildings is staggered throughout next year with the overall project due to be completed Q1 2022.
