College 9, also known as Constantine College and named after the famous Roman emperor who ruled from York, has been completed in September 2014.

The Masterplan design connects the campus to the wider University both visually and physically.
The college provides 621 rooms, in a mix of formats – en suite study beds, non-en suite, accessible, tutor rooms, and shared two bed apartments.

As with its neighbour – Langwith College – it uses a series of landscaped ‘swales’ to drain the surface water from the site before it passes into the large feature lake at the centre of Heslington East – just one of the sustainable features which helps towards its BREEAM Very Good rating.
