CJCT were commissioned by GRDI and SCB to provide Interior Design services for the new 126,000sqft SCB corporate headquarters in Dubai. Having initially reviewed and proposed modifications to the base building design, CJCT proceeded to design the fit-out of 8 office floors, a data centre, the impressive ground floor Reception, a new Staff Restaurant and top floor Meeting & Executive Suite. Planning and design have ensured maximum space efficiency & flexibility for the future to allow Standard Chartered Bank to incorporate their required agility through their Global Workplace Standards.
It has been crucial to maintain these standards and to promote the Standard Chartered Bank unique brand standards appropriately throughout all their office interiors. The scale of the project has provided a unique opportunity to challenge and to advance these standards to a new level.
The project successfully completed and handed over on schedule at the end of 2012 with the migration of close to 1000 staff. A further project was carried out in the DIFC building for SCB which comprised restacking one floor, introducing the Global Workplace Standards (GoWS) and developing a prototype Club Zone and CJCT has subsequently been appointed for the design and fit-out of a new 120,000sqft headquarters building in Accra, Ghana.
