Hull East Bank Urban Village

Hull City Council has announced its intention to appoint ECF – a partnership between Muse, Homes England and Legal & General – as its development partner for East Bank Urban Village, a major milestone in the regeneration of this historic part of the city. We’re proud to have supported ECF with their bid for this key site located on the east bank of the River Hull. The new neighbourhood will deliver c.850 high-quality homes alongside new infrastructure, reconnecting the city with its waterfront and creating a vibrant, contemporary urban village.

At CJCT, we have approached the scheme’s design with a deep respect for Hull’s heritage while embracing modern, sustainable city living. Inspired by the Old Town’s urban grain and the industrial legacy of the East Bank, the scheme balances historic preservation with forward-thinking placemaking, biodiversity, and energy efficiency. The development will integrate green public spaces and connect seamlessly to the wider city through active travel routes and new public squares.

With its strong connections to Hull’s rich history and its vision for the future, East Bank Urban Village represents a significant step forward in shaping a resilient, people-focused, and characterful neighbourhood.
