Brunner Road Receives Resolution to Grant Full Planning Permission

CJCT are pleased to announce that our proposals for Brunner Road in Walthamstow, East London have received a resolution to grant full planning permission by the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

The project, on behalf of Tribe Student Living, is for a mixed use PBSA led scheme providing 423 student bed spaces, 1200sqm of high-quality commercial space and a new public square within an area of regeneration near St James Street Station.

The accommodation is arranged in a single building over 4, 10 and 17 levels. At lower levels commercial and communal PBSA uses located at ground and 1st floor are expressed through a two storey plinth which uses large openings to activate the public realm and glazed brickwork to reference to the historic pub which stood on the site. The upper storeys use textured brickwork, corbelled detailing and GRC finish accents allowing the building to respond successfully to the distinct neighboring character areas of the St James Street conservation area and emerging New South Grove and St James masterplan.

The Brunner Road site is located in close proximity to our St James Street scheme which gained planning permission for Tribe Student Living for in 2023. Both schemes which were designed alongside CMA Planning and Studio BOSK Ltd. will help contribute towards the regeneration of the St James Street area into an attractive, mixed-use neighborhood.
