It was a pleasure to take part in this year’s Tall Buildings Conference, where CJCT’s Director Ian Emmerson joined Andrew Cusack of HUB to share the story behind the transformation of the Latitude and Monk Bridge sites in Leeds.
The presentation explored how the site’s industrial heritage, including the former Monk Bridge Iron Works and viaduct, is being reimagined to create a vibrant mixed-use neighbourhood with strong connections to the wider city. It highlighted the importance of activating underused spaces, integrating tall buildings sensitively, and designing places that support community and long-term growth.
It was a great opportunity to share our work and connect with others across the industry who are shaping the future of our cities.
